The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Buea hereby launches an Open National Invitation to Tender for the Provision of Insurance Service to 10,000 Students of the University of Buea

The purpose of this insurance is to cover the liability of students registered in the University as well as cover them for expenses due to health, disability or death.

I: STUDENT CIVIL LIABWITY (RESPONSIBILITY)

H: STUDENT PERSONAL ACCIDENT/INCAPACITY OR DEATH

c)      Medical Expenses to include hospitalization.

d)      Funeral expenses

III: ILLNESSES

1. Consultation
2. Specialist consultation
3. Hospitalization/ day
4. Surgical cases
5. Medical Lab
6. Nurse care
7. HIV/AIDS under the National Program
8. Pharmaceutical drugs — Generic, exceptionally
9. Prescribed eye glasses

The estimated cost after preliminary studies is 20,000,000 (twenty million) francs CFA including taxes.

The tender is open to all Cameroonian Insurance companies registered by CIMA to specialize in the domains of insurance services cited in 2(1), 2(11) , 2(I1I) and 2 ( IV) above

This project is funded by the 2020 Budget of ti.21lniversity of Buea. Chapter 244, Article 244i42. Paragraph 610340

Tender documents can be obtained during working hours at the Secretariat of the Development Office_ Room 211, Central Administration Building. University of Buco. upon presentation of a reccipi of a non-refundable fee of 26,000 (twenty-six thousand) CFA francs to the special ARMP account N°. No. 97568660001-28 at BICEC

Bidders must submit their bids in seven copies (one original and six copies) to the Development Office of the University of Buea, located in Room 211 of the Central Administration Building by 12.00 midday. on 17/01/2019. Bids shall NOT bc received after this date. The bids should be addressed to The Vice-Chancellor, University of Buea, P.O. Box 63, Buea. The khaki brown envelope containing the bids should be marked on the top right hand corner;

The maximum deadline provided for by the Contracting Authority for the exccution of this phase of the project shall be one year.

Each bidder must include in his Administrative Documents, a bid bond of 400,000 (four hundred thousand) FCFA. Ii should be issued by a bank recognized by the Ministry of Finance, as specified in Document 11 of this tender file. Administrative documents must be less than three inonths old and must not be signed after submission of the bids. Only originals or copies certified by the competent administrative authorities (Senior Divisional Officers, Divisional Officer, etc,) including the bid bond, should imperatively be produced. Bids which fait to comply with this requirernent will be rejected.

Any bid which does not conform to the prescription of this invitation to tender shall be declared inadmissible. Particularly, the absence of the bid bond shah lead to a pure and simple rejection of the bid without any appeal being entertained.

Bids shall be opened in two phases. The first phase shall be on 17/01/2020 at 01.00 p.m by the University of Buea Tenders Board in the Conference Room of the Central Administration Building of the University of Buea, in the presence of the bidders or their duly authorized representatives who should have a perfect mastery of the bids

The contract shall be awarded on the basis of the best bid using the combination of Technical and financial criteria.

Bidders shall be bound by their bids for a period of ninety (90) days with effect from the tender submission deadline.
