The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Buea hereby launches an Open National Invitation to Tender N°. 002/ONIT/TB/UB/20 of 05/06/2019 for the Construction of an Administrative and Pedagogic Block for the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Phase Il.
The works comprise the construction of the entire frame structure, roof frame and covering of the remaining three (03) wings and the central core of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Building.
The estimated cost after preliminary studies is 499,000,000 (Four hundred and ninety-nine million) francs CFA including taxes. It is a pluri-annual project and the amount made available for 2020 is 100,000,000 (one hundred million) FCFA
This call for tenders is open to aIl qualified national companies specialised in the domain of building construction.
This project is financed by the 2020 Public lnvestment Budget of the University of Buea, Programme 241 Article 224204, Paragraph 2220.
The tender file can be consulted during working hours at the Development Office, Room 211, of the Central Administration Building at the University of Buea, as soon as the tender is published.
Tender documents can be obtained during working hours at the Secretariat of the Development Office, Room 211, Central Administration Building, upon presentation of a receipt of a non-refundable fee of 190,000 (one hundred and ninety thousand) francs CFA to be paid into the special ARMP account No. 9756866000128 at BICEC.
Bids shall be submitted in seven (07) copies (one original and six copies) to the Development Office, Room 211, of the Central Administration Building, University of Buea, latest 12:00 a.m. prompt on 15/07/2020. The Khaki brown envelope containing the bids should be marked on the top right hand corner:

- 1. Admissibility of bids:
Under penalty of being rejected, only originals or true copies certified by the issuing service or administrative authorities (Senior Divisional Officer, Divisional Officers) must imperatively be produced in accordance with the Special Regulations of the invitation to tender. They must obligatorily be not older

than three (3) months preceding the date of submission of bids but may be established atter the signature of the tender notice
Any bid not in compliance with the prescriptions of the Tender File shah be declared inadmissible. This refers especially to the absence of a bid bond issued by a first-rate bank approved by the Minister of Finance. The duly signed and stamped bid following the model provided, should be presented with and without taxes.
The maximum deadline provided for by the Contracting Authority for the execution of this phase of the project shall be thirty-six (36) months distributed at 12 months per annual allocation
Each bidder must include in his Administrative Documents a bid bond of 9,980,000 (nine million, nine hundred and eighty thousand) CFA francs. This must be issued by a bank recognized by the Ministry of Finance, as specified on Document 12 of this tender file and valid for thirty (30) days beyond the date of validity of bids.

Bids shah be opened in a single phase in the Conference Room of the Central Administration Building of the University of Buea, on 15/07/2020 at 1.00 p.m by the University of Buea Tenders Board in the presence of the bidders or their duly authorised representatives
