Profile of Firm/ Consultant

This consultancy will be carried out by an experienced and qualified consultant/firm. We are ideally looking for a consultant, who will lead the whole process. The consultant/firm will be selected through a competitive and transparent process. Required experience, academic qualification and competencies of the firms and/or the consultant should include: 

• Minimum of bachelor's degree or master's degree in relevant subject with at least 5 years of experience for bachelors and 2 years for master’s in NGO/INGO and experiences of delivering ToT training on FFS conduction.
• The consultant should have a master’s/bachelor’s degree in livelihood or climate resilient or agriculture.
• Knowledgeable and expertise on farmer field school (FFS), climate smart    agriculture, DRR and gender.
• Proven experience of good training facilitation skills.
• Practical knowledge and experience in demonstration, field days, FFS curricula, participatory approach, gallery presentation or manual presentation, etc.

LEAD TRAINER: Rural sociologist/rural economist/Agricultural Engineer/Agronomist or related field (At least 10 yrs experience leading similar capacity building/accompanying cooperatives in postharvest and/or warehouse management)

KEY PERSONNEL:

• Gender specialistwith at least five (5) years of working experience
• Monitoring and Evaluation expert with at least five (5) years of field experience
• An Environmentalist with at least five (5) years of field experience

Within the framework ofemergency project to combat food crisis in Cameroon (PULCCA), the Director General of the North West Development Authority (MIDENO),hereby launches arestricted National Invitation to Tender for the recruitment of a consulting firm to carry out a technical assistance to promote Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) techniques

The services involved in this Call to Tender shall include:

v A baseline survey;

v The training program will be conducted over a period of four (04) months, including both theoretical and practical sessions;

v The initiative will address Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) Techniques;

v Ensure that all logistics for the transportation and lodging of participants are taken care of. 

 The specific objectives of the assignment:

v To carry out a baseline survey of the beneficiaries;

v To put in place a Monitoring and Evaluation system for the activity;

v To train and support 4,640 vulnerable farmers on Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) Techniques

v To put in place a communication strategy to showcase the event and ensure

The expected output under this assignment is listed below as:

• FFS transfer content handbook will be prepared. 
• Trained FFS facilitators operational.
• Selected farmers acquire skills on Climate Smart Agriculture through the FFS approach

 TECHNICAL PROPOSAL

Technical documents shall include

• Presentation of the consulting firm showing its general references in the domain of expertise
• Qualifications and working experiences of the personnel to carry out the service (dated and signed CVs of each personnel, copies of their academic and professional certificates)
• References on same type and/or similar contracts carried out with proofs
• Methodology and Equipment

• Incomplete administrative documents or absence of a requested document
• Incomplete Technical Proposal
• False declaration or falsified document
• Lack of appropriate personnel and experience needed
